‘Meet The Redmen’

The annual Rock Hill “Meet the Redmen” will be held Thursday at the high school stadium.

The program begins at 6:45 p.m. with a performance by the band. Members of all high school and middle school fall sports teams as well as cheerleaders will be introduced.

Hornets’ Nest meets

The Hornets Nest athletic booster club will meet at 6 p.m. each Tuesday in coach John Jones’ room in the high school.

The meetings are open to the public and any person who wants to be a part of the Hornets’ Nest is welcomed.

IAYSA coaches meet

The Ironton Area Youth Soccer Association will conduct a coaches meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Ironton Fire Department conference room.

Flag football signups

Any youths in grades K-1 interested in playing flag football in the Ironton Little League football program should contact B.J. Hannon at (740) 532-5015.

SJ season passes

Season passes for the St. Joseph High School soccer and volleyball seasons will be on sale in the high school principal’s office until Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Season passes for each sport are $30 for adults and $15 for students.

RH golf scramble

The Rock Hill Redwomen basketball team will sponsor a benefit golf scramble on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Oaks Golf Club.

The 8 a.m. shotgun start tournament will award prizes for first and second place along with door prizes. Lunch will be provided.

Rio golf, raffle set

The University of Rio Grande men’s and women’s basketball programs dinner and raffle will be 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, in the Newt Oliver Arena.

Donation for the 300 Club raffle is $100 with a grand prize of $10,000. Proceeds benefit the basketball programs.
