Visitors to town appreciate work to make Ironton shine

Our graduating class, Ironton High School Class of 1954, recently held its 55th reunion. We had 74 people in attendance, many from out of town, and they commented on how neat the town looked and were especially impressed with the beautiful flowers in the downtown area.

It is sad to see so many empty buildings but they wished to convey their appreciation to the Ironton in Bloom organization for hard work in the beautification efforts.

We had people in town from Oregon, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Wyoming, Virginia, West Virginia, and many different cities in Ohio.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a motel for them to stay in! For all involved in trying to better our town, thank you and keep up the good work.
