SOUTH POINT — Judy Gay Sanders, 62, of South Point, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at her residence. The Lawrence County native was born Oct. 2, 1946 the daughter of the late Eugene Owens and Freda Rose Sanders Owens.
Judy was a 1965 graduate of South Point High School and was a Secretary for a Real Estate agency in Arlington, Va. She formerly attended Sheridan Freewill Baptist Church
Surviving are five sisters, Nancy and Bill VanBibber and Mary Owens, both of South Point, Billie Stanley of Ironton, Debbie Winters of Ashland, Ky. and Jullie Owens of Yoncalla, Ore.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Bartrum and Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
