Firearms among items stolen from home

PROCTORVILLE — Almost $1,100 worth of items were reported taken from the home of a Proctorville resident sometime on Friday.

Tina Carter of 226 Prichard St., reported to village police that she came home around 3:30 p.m. Friday to discover that multiple items with a total value of $1,095 had been taken.

The items were a Mossberg 20 gauge pump shotgun valued at $250; a Remington .22 semiautomatic rifle valued at $200; a .22 single action revolver estimated at $150; a radio alarm saw engraved with name of Tina estimated at $175; a red electric power drill worth $75; a craftsman tool box with tools engraved with name of Tina valued at $150; an east wing hammer valued at $75; and a pair of 10 karat gold dolphin earrings valued at $20.

There were no signs of forced entry to the house. The incident remains under investigation.
