Drug abuse, tampering with evidence— U.S. 52, Perry Township Saturday, traffic stop conducted, vehicle reportedly had one burned out headlight and no rear license plate, syringe found in vehicle, toilet paper reportedly thrown out passenger window reportedly found to contain syringe, one passenger found to have outstanding warrant from Belmont County, Samantha Bertram, 21, Ashland, Ky., charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and tampering with evidence and taken to jail.

Aggravated Burglary —Township Road 199, Pedro, residence reportedly entered while occupants at home, Jerry Mays, 41, 6992 County Road 1, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.

Assault — Township Road 1372, Proctorville Monday, woman reportedly assaulted, Jessica Hager, 20, 61 Township Road 1372, Proctorville, arrested and taken to jail.

Theft— 700 block Ashtabula Street Monday, residence entered, wallet and money taken, witnesses reportedly struck by car, taken to area hospital.

Check well being — Fourth and Vine streets Monday, taxi driver reported rider covered in blood, negative contact.

Accident — Ironton Hills Shopping Center Monday, pedestrian struck by car.

Burglary— 2500 block South Eighth Street Monday, residence entered.

Domestic — 2200 block North Seventh Street Monday, woman reportedly held by neck, suspect named.

Burglary — 300 block Wyanoke Street Tuesday, empty apartment entered.

Theft— 2500 block South Fourth Street Tuesday, two dirt bikes taken.

Theft— 1000 block North Third Street Tuesday, bicycle taken from yard.
