Congressman Charlie Wilson’s Web site erroneously claims that there are “nearly 46 million Americans who lack health insurance.”

This “46 million” figure often used by Democrats includes illegal immigrants and doesn’t correct for a substantial Medicaid undercount.

I brought this to the attention of Congressman Wilson’s staff one month ago, and they have refused to correct their Web site. Further, I asked his staff if they considered illegal immigrants to be “Americans,” and I did not get a straight answer.

Congressman Wilson, along with Nancy Pelosi and Henry Waxman, are using scare tactics and lies to overstate the problem and rush through poor legislation.
