Sarah M. Wilson, 60, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Ironton native was born Nov. 12, 1948, the daughter of the late Adam and Doris Patterson Wilson.
Ms. Wilson was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and received two associate degrees from Ohio University Southern Campus. She attended the Tri-State Baptist Temple in South Point.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Dale Wilson.
She is survived by two sons, James Grubb of Kenova, W.Va. and Ryan Wilson of Pedro; a daughter, Robin Wilson of Pedro; four grandchildren; a sister, Dottie Holsinger of Ironton; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Bub Mays of Ironton; and a brother, Adam Wilson of Ironton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Furnace Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
