LLOYD, Ky. — The St. Joseph Flyers did some air quality control.

After a 1-1 tie in the first half, the Flyers came back to beat the Greenup County Musketeers 3-2 Thursday in a soccer match.

“Greenup plays with the ball in the air a lot. Once we got the ball down on the ground in the second half, we played much better,” said Flyers’ coach Sissy Clyse. “Greenup is a much improved team and we’re playing better.”

“We played well defensively,” said Clyse. “Spencer Schwab and Payton Blair played well and Justin Mahlmeister had a good game defensively.

Greenup County had just four shots on goal with eight keeper saves.
