GALLIA COUNTY — Alice Faye (Wilson) Crawford, 57, of Gallia County, died Sept. 19, 2009, at Holzer Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 30, 1952, in Ironton, the daughter of the late Orville T. Wilson and Faye Bryant Wilson.
She attended Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. She retired from the Federal Correction Institute in Ashland, Ky., and was a dispatcher for Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
She was preceded by one sister, Sadie Maxie and two brothers, Tom Wilson and Ernest Wilson.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Crawford; two sons, Cody Bob Crawford of Gallia County and Michael (Tom) Deere of Ironton; one daughter, Michelle Deere of Morrow County; four grandchildren, Michael Umphlettee, Ryan Umphlettee, Stephanie Rose –Nichole Umphlettee, all of Newark and Jacob Deere of Ironton; one great grandchild, Charles Bertram II of Newark; a sister, Phyllis Crabtree of Kitts Hill and one brother, Roy Wilson.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Bradshaw Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 pm. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
