IRONTON — Sonny Bailey, 47 of Ironton passed away at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009.
He was born May 6, 1962 in Lawrence County, the son of the late Joe Bailey and Edna (Gannon) Bailey who survives.
He lived all of his life in the Pine Grove area, was of the Baptist faith and graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1980. In addition to his father, his brother Joseph “Buttons” Bailey preceded him in death.
In addition to his mother, three brothers survive him: Willard (Genie)
Bailey of Franklin Furnace, David (Linda) Bailey of Russell, Ky. and James “Happy” Bailey of Hanging Rock, sisters: Kay (Stan) Collins of Caledonia, Ohio and Debbie (John) Collins of Caledonia, Ohio, a close special friend Carl Russell and many more family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Pine Grove with the Rev. Ronnie Blevins officiating. No visitation will be observed.
