KITTS HILL — Mabel Lang, 76, of Kitts Hill, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, in the Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va.
Mabel was born July 31, 1933, in Ironton, daughter of the late Albert and Anna Willis Moore.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Fonda Jean Webb. Mabel worked for Cinderella Dress Factory for 25 years and Corbins for 10 years. She was a member of Symmes Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
Mabel is survived by her husband of 56 years, William Lang; two sons, William (Frankie) Lang of Franklin, N.C., and Clarence (Pam) Lang of Chesapeake; four grandsons, Lee Lang of Newark, N.Y., Bill Lang of Hickory, N.C., Michael and Robbie Lang of Chesapeake; four great grandchildren; seven sisters, Evelyn (Lee) Jones, Helen Stapleton, Dorothy (Kernie) Collins, Edna (Will) Ridgeway, Macy (Larry) Charter, Avis Whallon, and Doris Ann (Ovie) Jones.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Carrico officiating. Burial will follow in Langdon Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 -8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
