Huntington, W.Va. — Chili Willi’s Mexican Cantina is now marketing its salsas through regional grocery stores and retail outlets.

The Chili Willi’s brand of Gourmet Tex-Mex Salsas are offered in a medium fire-roasted picante and a mild red version. Both salsas are the same as the salsas that have been served in the restaurant.

Additionally, both salsas have been featured in the ICS World Chili Championships with the picante being named one of the world’s best.

“For as long as we’ve been making our own salsas people have been telling me that they would love to see it for sale on the shelves. We started selling the salsas in mid-September and sales have been phenomenal. It took some time, but we’re thrilled to be able to offer it,” said Huntington restaurateur, Ron Smith.

The initial outlet for the salsa is Forth Foods, owners of the FoodFair Grocery Stores, with fourteen locations selling the salsas. Additional sales outlets are currently under negotiation. The salsas can also be purchased at the restaurant.

Chili Willi’s Mexican Cantina is located in Huntington. It opened in 1983.
