PORTSMOUTH — The Ohioans for Livestock Care campaign is hosting a regional rally to educate voters about State Issue 2. The rally will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Family Life Center, Christ United Methodist Church, 150 Portsmouth St., Jackson. The event is one of 12 rallies statewide.

Several hundred people are expected to attend each event. Attendees will hear an overview of the issue and what it means for our communities.

In addition, Ohio Farm Bureau representatives and local farmers will speak about how creation of the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board will benefit Ohio consumers, the state’s economy, and family farmers and the animals they raise.
