SOUTH POINT — Darrell Glenn Midkiff, 49, of South Point, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, at King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 9, 1960, in Huntington, W.Va.. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Midkiff.
He is survived by his mother and her companion, Anna Midkiff and James Huggins; his loving wife, Angela Hodge Midkiff; one sister, Barbara Sproles; four brothers, Robert Jr., Harold, Jimmy and Donald Midkiff; special friend, Missy Hobbs; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Ann Allen. He was a driver for Yellow Cab for 10 years and he received driver of the year award last year.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville, W.Va., with Rev. Terry Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock, W.Va. The pallbearers will be Donald Adkins, Robert Allen, Dan Forth, Doug Chapman, Louie Reese and Matt Reese. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Tri-State Worship Center. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
