PEDRO — Linzy Phillip Stevens, Jr., 66, of Pedro, went home to be with Jesus Christ Wednesday Oct. 7, 2009, from King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Boyd County, Ky., native was born May 8, 1943, the son of the late Linzy Phillip Sr., and Mary Katherine Johnson Stevens. He is survived by his wife, Flossie Leona Renfroe Stevens, whom he married June 18, 1966.
Mr. Stevens attended Waterloo School, was a former employee for the Cabinet Supplier, Inc. for 34 years and attended the Salt and Light Church in Ashland, Ky. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and the simple life with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Lynn and Paul Walker of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Hope Ann and Keith Wilson of Scottown; a son, Joseph Allen Stevens of Ashland, Ky., three granddaughters, Shelby Lynn Walker of Ironton, Isabella Kay Wilson and Willow Dawn Wilson both of Scottown; three grandsons, Isaac Paul Walker of Ironton, Keifer Cole Wilson and Ranson Keith Wilson both of Scottown; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Roger and Phyllis Stevens of Pedro and Greg Stevens of Brantley, Ala; seven sisters and five brothers-in-law, Pat Rankin of Florida, Virginia Rader of Pedro, Helen and Gene Bush of Raceland, Ky., Sue and Bill Nance of Kitts Hill, Teresa and Danny Dillon of Willow Wood, Shelia and Tony Newman of Kitts Hill, and Vickie and Randy Deer of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
