TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Helen Ruth Lutz Wilson, 79, of Tallahassee, formerly of Ironton, Ohio, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008.
She attended the Tenth Street Tabernacle Church, Coal Grove First Church of the Nazarene and Ironton First Church of the Nazarene. She was a graduate of Ironton High School, the Ashland, Ky., Business College and Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Florida and was very active in volunteer services in the Leon County Public School System – elementary school level.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William M. and Charlene Lyons Lutz; three brothers, William S., Lawrence E., and Michael H. Lutz; and two sisters, Eilene Lutz Webb Jones and Arvilla Lee Lutz Smith.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Oscar Martinez; a grandson; and a great grandson; and one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Jean Lutz and Walter E. Kleinman of Ironton.
A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene in Ironton at Fourth and Pleasant streets. There will be a time for fellowship after the service and refreshments will be served. In lieu of flowers, you may consider making a donation to your local senior center in Helen’s memory.
