Grand jury indicts for stabbing

A woman arrested in August for stabbing her then-boyfriend was among the 45 people indicted last week by a Lawrence County Grand Jury.

Diana Murray, 50, of 2040 County Road 6, Ironton, was indicted on one count of felonious assault. She was arrested Aug. 16.

Authorities said she stabbed Timothy McKenzie, 42, of the same address. McKenzie was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Huntington, W.Va., with a stomach wound. Witnesses said Murray had walked around with a knife and had threatened McKenzie earlier in the day.

Of the 45 indictments, 20 were secret indictments; all but one of those allege drug activity, according to information from the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office.

Others indicted were:

Frank Lewis, 45, 2212 N. Fifth St., Ironton, three counts of felony theft, one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle and one count of misdemeanor theft.

Troy D. Earles, 36, Pickaway Correctional Institute, theft.

Leslie C. Wilkes,36, 396 County Road 70, Proctorville, two counts of aggravated possession of drugs.

Gina McClellan, 46, 1891 County Road 5, Kitts Hill, two counts of aggravated possession of drugs and one count each of possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of drugs to a detention facility.

Kenneth Hampton, 42, 269 Township Road 297, Ironton, four counts of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of misdemeanor violation of a protection order.

Tienna Locey, 34, 245 Township Road 1135, Proctorville, complicity to grand theft.

Tracy Bundy, 31, Huntington, W.Va., three counts of forgery, two counts of receiving stolen property, one count of felony theft and one count of misdemeanor criminal damaging.

James H. Ratcliff, 56, 1192 County Road 9, Crown City, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of crack and one count of misdemeanor obstruction of official business.

Scott Bridges, 21, 1372 County Road 26, Ironton, two counts of theft.

Lillian Jackson, 43, 707 Ashtabula St., Ironton, illegal use of food stamps.

Wilbur Pauley, 46, 653 County Road 15, South Point, theft.

Bryan Murphy, 18, 1173 County Road 1, South Point, two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of gross sexual imposition. The charges involve three girls all less than 16 years of age at the time of the alleged incidents.

Rosetta Gunter, 22, 401 Center St., Ironton, forgery.

Frank E. Thomas, 18, 191 Township Road 155E, Pedro, forgery.

Larry Blankenship, 30, 46 Private Drive 9992, South Point, trafficking in drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Robert Esque Jr., 21, 52 Township Road 338, Ironton, trafficking in drug and aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Crystal Waulk, 28, 1358 County Road 15, South Point, three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs and two counts of complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Kenneth Waulk, 32, 2352 County Road 55, Ironton, trafficking in drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs.

Adam Stapleton, 25, 126 Private Drive 3467 State Route 243, Ironton, two counts of breaking and entering and one count of theft.

Jeffrey Spencer, 31, 248 Township Road 1163, Proctorville, one count of felony fleeing and eluding and misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and driving without insurance.

Alicia Bailey, 23, 3887 State Route 243, Ironton, burglary.

Zachary Branham, 24, Ashland, Ky., complicity to burglary.

Joseph K. Huff, 50, Ashland, Ky., DUI.

James H. Robinson, 41, 1212 S. Eighth St., Ironton, six counts of sexual battery. Robinson was previously indicted on six counts of rape.

He was indicted on the lesser charges during this session of the grand jury although the charges are for the same incidents involving the same two girls; at the time of the incidents one girl was 13 years old, the other 14.
