SOUTH WEBSTER — All good things come to an end.

The St. Joseph Flyers enjoyed a good soccer season, but it ended Wednesday as they fell 6-0 to the top-seeded South Webster Jeeps in the Division III sectional tournament.

“We played a very strong team. They have a good program,” said Flyers’ coach Sissy Clyse. “We played well and the kids never quit. That says a lot about our team and our cohesiveness.”

South Webster (16-1) led 2-0 at the half and then scored four times in the second half.

Despite the season-ending loss, Clyse said the players made it an enjoyable year.

“It’s tough for the seniors to say good-bye. It was a pleasure to coach them and an honor and a privilege,” said Clyse.
