LEBANON, Ore — Joseph Blair, 82, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Timberview Care Center in Albany, Ore.
He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Russell, Ky. He was raised in Ironton, Ohio. He entered the Air Force as a young man and served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam wars before retiring after 25 years of service. He then settled in California and owned and operated the Orchid Room and Silver Dollar clubs in the San Francisco Bay area until his retirement in 1989. He married Connie Sears on Feb. 10, 1990. They resided in South Point until moving to Lebanon in June 2009.
He was a member of the American Legion in Huntington, W.Va., VFW 8850 in Ironton, Moose Lodge 701 in Ironton, Am Vets in Greenup, Ky. and Masonic Lodge in South Point.
He is survived by his wife Connie of Lebanon, daughter Belinda Blair and husband Greg Neal of Foster City, Calif., stepdaughter and her husband Nicki and T.J. Comber of Lebanon and three grandchildren.
No services are planned. Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon is handling arrangements.
