SOUTH POINT — Ms. Miriam Yvonne Taylor, 73, of South Point, passed away Wednesday, Nov.11, 2009, at Heartland of Riverview nursing facility in South Point.
She was born Feb.26, 1936, in Ironton, the daughter of the late Vernon and Marie Sark Taylor. She worked for the Holiday Inn for 18 years in the housekeeping department and was a member of the Methodist church. Miriam was also a 1954 graduate of South Point High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one nephew, Roger Hughes; and the nephew, Robert Hughes’ wife, Kimberly Hughes.
She is survived by two sisters and their husbands, Donna and Charles Beard of Chesapeake, and Linda Jo and Ronald Eicher of Columbus; three nephews: Robert Hughes of Florida, Ronald Eicher of Columbus and Bernard Eicher Fort Mitchell, Ky.; one niece, Deborah Hughes of South Point; and five great nieces and nephews, Roger Taylor Hughes, Jennifer Hughes, Jessica Hughes, Tracy Hughes, and Kyle Hughes, all of South Point.
A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.
