It’s right back to where we were.

The Ironton Fighting Tigers are heading back to Nelsonville-York High School to play the Coshocton Redskins in the Division IV Region 15 championship game.

Ironton (10-2) beat Heath 20-1 in overtime on Saturday in the Region 15 semifinals at Nelsonville. The Fighting Tigers also played a regular season game at Nelsonville-York High School last season as they beat the Buckeyes 43-28.

Ironton and Coshocton have met five previous times, twice in the playoffs. The Fighting Tigers hold a 3-2 lead in the series including wins in both playoff games.

The Fighting Tigers won 20-0 in 1987 at Ohio University and 27-6 in 2000 at Groveport.

Coshocton won 7-6 in 1957 and 8-0 in 1968. Ironton won 15-6 at Coshocton in its 1986 opening game.

The Div. IV Region 13 title game will have Chagrin Falls (12-0) facing Peninsula Woodridge (10-2) at Twinsburg Tiger Stadium.

Ottawa-Glandorf (10-2) plays Orrville (9-3) in the Region 14 championship at Frost-Kalnow Stadium in Tiffin.

Defending Div. IV state champion Kettering Archbishop Alter (12-0) plays Clarksville Clinton-Massie at Centerville Stadium in the Region 16 championship.

The state semifinals match teams according to their proximity.

Ironton would probably play the winner of the Alter and Clinton-Massie game.
