The Lawrence Soil and Water Conservation District will host a seminar that focuses on home sewage treatment systems, whether it is a septic tank or connected to a sewer system.

The seminar offers residents the chance to learn about how a sewage treatment system operates, the different types of systems available, who to call when you are ready to install a system, what regulations and laws govern sewage treatment systems, how to maintain a septic system, choosing a site for a septic system on your property, and water quality issues.

This seminar is free. Participants will receive a binder and a CD with information about sewage treatment systems to take home with them.
