Melony Lea McClellan, 51, of Ironton, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Oct. 19, 1958, the daughter of Homer and Yvonne Maynard Campbell of Ironton. She is also survived by her husband, Brian McClellan, whom she married July 15, 1977.
Melony was a 1976 graduate of Ironton High School. She was an accounts payable clerk and secretary with the Ironton City Schools for 20 years and a member of the Dogwood Chapel in Wheelersburg, where she was formerly a church pianist and Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she is also survived by a son, Matt McClellan of Ironton; a daughter, Sarah McClellan of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Dustin Hoffman of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Homer “Hoss” Campbell Jr. and Leslie and Dee Campbell all of Ironton; and a sister, Francie Vallance of Ironton.
