Child Welfare Club says ‘thank you’ to community

The Ironton Child Welfare Club held its annual Talent Auction earlier this month and raised more than $3,000 to support the youth of our community.

We appreciate the guests who came and enjoyed our hospitality while opening up their wallets to support our many projects.

We want to thank the First Church of the Nazarene for hosting the event and allowing us to virtually take over the fellowship hall and kitchen for two days. Ohio University Southern provided a wonderful sound system for us.

And last, but not least, our 30 plus members who brought home-made soup and sandwiches for the guests and donated their many talents and treasures to the auction.

Last year, large donations were made to the Ironton School system for a Smart Board, City of Ironton for the skate park and the Open Door school for basketball uniforms in addition to the Eddy and Freshie program.

The Ironton Child Welfare Club thanks you for joining with us as we support the Ironton youth.
