HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Holiday shoppers this year have an opportunity to help give the Huntington/Tri-State area a state-of-the-art facility for children’s health care at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Merchants throughout the Tri-State are now selling Children’s Hospital donation tags in their stores for $1 each.

The Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation has embarked on a fundraising campaign to build a Children’s Hospital on the hospital campus by transforming pediatrics areas and by creating an exclusive entrance from Hal Greer Boulevard for children and their families.

“The response to our donation tag program has been overwhelming,” said Velma Workman, Development Outreach Coordinator for the Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation. “We only began last week, and nearly 100 locations have already partnered with us to make the dream of a children’s hospital come true.

I would like to thank all of our partners, and our tag sponsor Advantage Toyota. We encourage everyone to visit our partner retailers to show your support for this much-needed facility.”

These donation tags will be displayed throughout the Tri-State in store windows to display the community’s support for such a facility for local infants and children.

The fundraising campaign to build the Children’s Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital has a goal of $12 million.
