KITTS HILL — Donetta Lynn Dodson, 41, of Kitts Hill, died Tuesday Dec. 1, 2009, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 2, 1968, the daughter of Donald Russell and Janet Davis Lucas.
Donetta attended Dawson-Bryant schools. She was a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith and attended Gateway Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Bill Dodson of Kitts Hill; daughter and her fiancé, Ashely Dodson and J. P. Bowles of Kitts Hill; a daughter, Shyann Dodson of Kitts Hill; a son, Jake Dodson of Kitts Hill; a daughter, Autumn Dodson of Kitts Hill;brother and sister-in-law: Donald and Holly Russell Jr. of Cincinnati; a sister, Debbie Newcomb of Ironton; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Melinda Russell of Ironton; and sister, Becky Russell of Coal Grove.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Dement and Pastor Paul Toney officiating. Burial will follow in Community Cemetery.
