ROME TOWNSHIP — It will be the audience who decides who done it when the drama students at Fairland High School present the annual mystery dinner theater.

“This is our third year,” Tara Sansom, Fairland drama teacher, said. “They generally write their own play, but this year they purchased a professional play.”

This year’s selection is “The Murderous Mansion of Mr. Uno.”

“They thought it looked funny,” Sansom said. “It’s about a man who invites several different characters to his mansion for a supposed dinner party.”

However, once they get there it’s not dinner but murder that is being served.

Sansom started the dinner theater as a complement in the fall to the high school’s spring musical.

All proceeds go toward paying the fee on renting a sound system for the school’s spring musical.

“We don’t have an orchestra pit and we have to rent a music system,” she said.

There are 11 characters in the mystery with 11 different endings. There will be a vote taken between the first and second acts to allow the audience to decide who they want the murderer to be.

Menu for the event will be lasagna, salad, bread, drink and dessert. The play will be presented at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10 for a regular seat and $15 for a front row seat.
