Has America truly lost its way?

During the third week of October of 2009, two very different events happened. They both were during the very same period of time, but only one has real value.

Both made the international news but each event was played in a different light.

Why? Because here in America God does not have up-front priority with the America people or the national leadership of the government, news and church leaders.

In Fort Collins, Colo., the Heene family stages a family hoax of a son being airborne in a homemade balloon.

The bizarre saga begins with a call from the family to Sheriff Jim Alderson for help to save their 6-year-old son, Falcon.

The balloon made a 50-mile journey through two counties with people all over this nation watching the national news. Colorado Army National Guard sent a UH-58 Kiowa helicopter at the cost of $700 per hour, plus a Black Hawk that cost $4,600 per hour for a hoax.

For weeks after this hoax, all we have heard about is this event and all about this family.

But the real miracle that took place in Melbourne, Australia, was almost completely untouched by the national news or the national church leadership here in America.

A young mother was waiting for a local train to pull into the station. The stroller, which held her 6-month-old son, rolled off the platform into the path of the oncoming train. She tried desperately to reach out for the falling stroller without fear for her own personal safety.

The train proceeded to run over the stroller with the child inside and drag it about 150 feet. By only an act of God, this child escaped with only a small cut to his forehead.

The mother later gave an interview saying that God had to protect her baby son from death.

I guess what really causes me grief is the fact that our national news organizations or denomination church leaders have the ability to speak about events happening in our world, but not one of them mentioned this miracle of God.

This was truly a miracle that only comes from God. He sent a miracle right in front of all of us and we just acted as if it was nothing. What happened to the conscious of the America people? Have we lost our real spiritual heritage? Are we afraid to praise God publicly?

Are we now ashamed to speak in the name of Jesus Christ? Christian pastors, laymen, all children of God, we must begin to speak out and to praise the Lord or what Jesus said in Luke 9:26, will be our downfall.

“For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.”

Be careful, Christians, that because of the politically correctness of the national leaders, both government and church, that they come up short in the presence of the Almighty God.

Stop believing politically correctness of this culture and start believing the word of God.

We will stand before God on the day of our death and God is no respecter of persons. He will judge each of us according to the his truth.
