Fairland sets holiday concert

ROME TOWNSHIP — Fairland Middle and High school bands will have a Christmas Concert Sunday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. at Fairland High School.

The bands are under the direction of Keith Carper.

The FHS Band Boosters will collect donations for the New Hope UMC food bank. Admission is free.

Wrestling match postponed

CHESAPEAKE — Big Time Pro Wrestling scheduled for tonight at the Chesapeake Community Center has been postponed.

It will be rescheduled after the first of the year.

Ohio Northern Univ. releases dean’s list

ADA — Nicholas E. Hall, son of John and Vicki Hall, 148 Township Road 1363, Chesapeake, has been named to the Ohio Northern University deans’ list for the fall quarter 2009-10. He is a sixth year majoring in pharmacy.

ADA — Kirt R. Shipley, son of Kenneth and Brenda Shipley, 216 Pr. Rd. 10930 Co. Rd. 5, Pedro, has been named to the Ohio Northern University deans’ list for the fall quarter 2009-10. He is a third year pharmacy major.

The deans’ list includes students who attain a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 grading system.
