HOMER WOODBURN II

Homer W. Woodburn II, 91 of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.
The Lawrence County native was born Nov. 17, 1918 the son of the late Homer W. and Sophia D. Rist Woodburn.
He attended Ironton City Schools and formerly attended First Tabernacle Church in Ironton. He was A WW II U.S. Navy veteran and he retired in 1982 from Allied Chemical in Ironton as a maintenance electrician. He was also a member of the D.A.V. and the Masonic Lodge 198 in Ironton and spent most of his life in the Ironton area.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Richard Woodburn.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Gary Bryant of Deering; a son and daughter-in-law, Homer W. and Pamela Woodburn of Ironton; a son and daughter-in-law, Blaine and Alice Woodburn of Coal Grove; three grandgaughters, Loretta Kay Dillon of Flatwoods, Janie Dever of Coal Grove and Teresa Hammond of Ironton; three great-grandsons, Steven Mays, Brandon Webb and Jarod Dever; three great-granddaughters, Ashley Dillon, Hannah Hammond and Taylor Hammond; three brothers, Jack Woodburn of Ironton, Ed Woodburn of Ironton, and Willard Woodburn of Pennsylvanis; six sisters, Helen Perry of Ironton, Janice Davis of Fairborn, Dorothy Gallion of Florida, Norma Jean Baron of California, Rita Jones and Rosemary Imes of Ironton.
He is also survived by longtime care givers Nellie Mowery and Jeffrey L. and Patricia Mowery and their children, Bethany Dickess, J.D. Mowery and Scott Kellogg and grandchildren Korey Kellogg, Rylee and Bailee Dickess.
