Paul Edwards, 66, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 22, 1943, the son of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Davis) Edwards. He was a retired boiler operator for King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., and was a member of Jeffersonville Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: James Edwards and Gene Edwards; and one sister, Mary Lou Bare.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Kay Edwards; two sons, Tim (Sara) Edwards of Ironton, Mark and his wife, Becky Edwards of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren, Casey Edwards, MaKayla Edwards, Austin Edwards, Cory Edwards, Chase Edwards, Olivia Edwards and Silas Edwards; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Marie; one brother, the Rev. Charles (Naomi) Edwards of North Carolina and one sister, Sarah Baugges of North Carolina. Paul will be missed by many more family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Swartzwelder officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Friends may call the 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
