PEDRO — Lawrence W. Pennington, 72, of Pedro, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born March 13, 1937, the son of the late Joseph and Theresa Hall Pennington. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Mart Pennington, whom he married June 28, 1957.
Mr. Pennington attended LaGrange School and was a former security officer for Pinkerton Security. He was of the Apostolic faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers; and six sisters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Wendell Simpson of Ironton and Mary and Gary Wisenberger of Pedro; a son, Larry Pennington and Teresa Walburn of Columbus; sister, Evelyn Vanmeter of Kitts Hill; six grandchildren, Angela Goodman, Amy Pennington, Travis Pennington, Heather Pennington, Shane Wisenberger and Kyle Wisenberger; and a great granddaughter, Kassidy.
