TechGrowth Ohio announces seminar series

U.S. Congressman Charlie Wilson will be the keynote speaker in a series of free business events from TechGrowth Ohio.

The month-long series of seminars will focus on business growth in southeast Ohio.

“Re-Inventing Small Business in Appalachia” will connect participants with resources from state and local organizations designed to foster technology and innovation.

The seminar is designed to help participants discover the realm of possibilities that Appalachia offers to new and existing businesses.

“Advanced Energy — a New Opportunity for Business Growth” will offer potential entrepreneurs information from state agencies, regional service providers and local representatives on topics ranging from clean energy opportunities and growing green businesses to workforce training programs in energy.

Participants will have the opportunity to network and interact with these representatives and other likeminded business leaders while exploring energy incentives, cost savings and additional opportunities for business growth from exhibitors.

Feb. 19 Ohio University, Southern Campus in Ironton

“Advanced Energy- A New Opportunity for Business Growth”

Feb. 18 University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande

Feb. 26 Ohio University, Eastern Campus in St. Clairsville

March 5 Marietta College in Marietta

Each of the seminars are free to the public and will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch is included.
