WILLOW WOOD — John M. Carter, 58, of Willow Wood passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born June 20, 1951, to the late Frank and Sarah (Wood) Carter. He attended Blackfork School, was a construction worker and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers football team.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harvey, Everett, Charles, Roy and Frankie, and sisters, Mary and Martha.
He is survived by wife, Connie (Crum) Carter; a son, Russell Carter; two step children, Virgil Lee Crum, and Rebecca LaPrad; his twin sister, Bonnie Huffman; a brother, Stanley (Carrie) Carter; a granddaughter, Marilyn Carter; and a sister in law, Lucille Jordan.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Linville Cemetery.
