Junior Female Flyers win Wellston Invitational

WELLSTON — It was the exclamation point to a good season.
The St. Joseph Junior Female Flyers capped off a 12-1 basketball season by winning the Wellston Invitational Saturday.
The Female Flyers beat Portsmouth Notre Dame 19-15 in the semifinal game and then downed host Wellston 29-22 in the championship.
Hannah Miller scored 10 points whle Amber Neal and Molly Miller added 6 points each and Sidney Payne 5 in the title game.
Neal scord 6 points in the semifinal win with Hannah and Molly Miller getting 4 each.
Neal was voted the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
