Carol Lee Wetzel, 58, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born July 1, 1951, the daughter of the late Florence Dillon Brown. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Wetzel of Ironton, whom she married May 16, 1969.
Mrs. Wetzel was a graduate of West Portsmouth High School and was a former price and inventory specialist at Publix in Jacksonville, Fla. for 15 years.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Marie Chavez and a brother, Bill Sears.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Margaret Chavez of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Angela Wetzel of Barboursville, W.Va.; three brothers, David Sears, Carl Brown, and Steve Brown all of Hamilton; a sister, Tracey Mills of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Julian Richard Andrew Chavez, Halee Marie Chavez, Megan Leann Wetzel and Travis Michael Wetzel.
