BEREA, Ky. — When Ryan Hess remembers career coaching win No. 100, he’ll be thinking of Nathaniel Burcham as well.
Hess got his milestone win on April 3 when Berea College blanked Cincinnati Christian College 6-0.
The main reason Hess and Berea got the win was former Fairland Dragons’ pitcher Nathaniel Burcham who tossed a complete game.
Burcham pitched a four-hit shutout, struck out six and walked five. The freshman pitcher is now 2-1 on the season.
Nathaniel is the son of Angie and Shawn Burcham. His grandfather is the former long-time Lawrence County Clerk of Courts Dale Burcham.
