Missing W.Va. man’s ID on body found in river
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Huntington police say a missing Cabell County man’s identification was on a body found in the Ohio River.
The body hasn’t been officially identified. Huntington Police Sgt. John Williams says authorities believe it is that of 53-year-old Jerry Lambert Sr.
Lambert was reported missing March 18. He had spent the night of March 17 on a boat docked at Harris Riverfront Park.
Williams says Lambert’s identification was found on the body.
A passer-by found the body Wednesday evening near the confluence of the Big Sandy and Ohio rivers.
