Briggs’ Friends to host book sale

IRONTON — The Friends of the Library will be holding their spring book sale this weekend in the meeting room of the Ironton Library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Anyone who would like to donate books or magazines for the book sale can drop them off at the Library by Thursday.

Red Lion Theatre seeks actors

CANNONSBURG, Ky. — Open auditions will be held at the KYOVA Tri-State Mall & Lifestyle Center beginning on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and continuing on Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Auditions will be in Red Lion’s Room at the Kyova mall. Visit www.redliontc.org for a map and directions.

Roles are open for men and women, boys and girls, and children of all ages.

AUDITIONS WILL CONSIST OF: readings from the script as well as singing from one or more of the songs. All materials necessary for the auditions will be provided and auditioners will be taught a song by the music director.

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream the Musical” is William Shakespeare’s classic tale infused with modern pop, rock, and love songs. It is a love story of epic proportions, fun, hip, and family friendly.

PERFORMANCES will be: June 3-6 and 10-13 at 8:05 p.m. Nightly at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park additional Performances will be held June 17-20 in the KYOVA Tri-State Mall & Lifestyle Center.

OLBH launches in-house channel

RUSSELL, Ky. — Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) has unveiled OLBH TV, a television channel dedicated to OLBH related topics, health information, news and more.

Airing on channel 27 on hospital television sets, OLBH TV programming includes patient educational programming, news podcast, hospital information, prayers, health tips, the hospital’s daily cafeteria menu and more.

“OLBH TV is just the latest way we’re utilizing media to provide a better experience for our patients, families and community members,” OLBH director of Marketing and Communications, Angela Wells Coburn said. “OLBH TV allows us to provide information as well as education to those in the hospital. This venture works with other recent offerings like the hospital’s digital signage system and new media like the hospital’s Facebook page and YouTube channel as exciting ways we’re now able to interact with our community.”
