KITTS HILL — Lois Ella Clark, 91, of Kitts Hill, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010, at a local health care center. The South Point native was born March 21, 1919, the daughter of the late Henry C. and Nettie Dillon Bowen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny E. Clark whom passed away Oct. 7, 1981.
Mrs. Clark was a graduate of Aid High School, a homemaker, a member and past treasurer of Oakland Chapel Church for many years. Mrs. Clark also loved to quilt and travel.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Henry D. Bowen, Robert Bowen, and John  Bowen; and a sister, Dorothy Bowen.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Joyce Clark of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Charles Bowling of Kitts Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Linda K. and Chuck Herrell of Chilhowie, Va.; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Maude Bowen of Ironton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edna and Kenneth “Bud” Turner of Ironton and Elsie and John Lambert of Alcoa, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Bryan Clark, Marci Kleinman, Jeff Bowling, Crystal Bloomfield, Natalie Burcham, Scott Bowling, Angela Jenkins, and Matthew Herrell; 19 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakland Chapel Church with Pastors Chuck Herrell and Lenny Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Aid Cemetery.
