PROCTORVILLE — Forget wrestling. The Fairland Lady Dragons had their own tag team.

Amber Bias and Sashe Burcham combined on a 4-hitter as the Lady Dragons beat the South Gallia Lady Rebels 2-1 in eight innings Friday.

Fairland got a run in the third inning on singled by Stormie Spitzer, Chelsey Stanley and Jaimie Phillips.

South Gallia tied the game in the sixth inning with an unearned run. The Rebels used a dropped fly ball, a base hit and a ground out to score.

But Fairland was able to get an unearned run in the eighth inning for the win.

With two outs, Haley Woodall singled, Miranda Hayes walked and a passed ball put runners on the corners. Carrie Napier then reached on a slow roller that was misplayed for an error allowing Woodall to score.

Chandra Canaday went the distance in taking the loss for South Gallia.

Fairland (6-7) plays at Ironton Monday.
