COAL GROVE — As the season is winding down, the Rock Hill Redwomen are just getting started.

Rock Hill won its seventh straight as Morgan Schug pitched a five-inning no-hitter as the Redwomen blanked the Coal Grove Lady Hornets 10-0 Monday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

“We’re starting to play together as a team,” said Redwomen coach Mary Harper. “We got good pitching, good defense and good hitting. It’s nice to play well in all phases of the game.”

Rock Hill went up 3-0 in the first inning.

Courtney Duncan singled and BreeAnna Depriest was hit by a pitch. After a double steal, Chelsea Harper singled in a run, Depriest scored on an error and Schug doubled home a run.

A run scored in the second on a triple by Megan Russell and courtesy runner Kaelyn Ellis scored on a wild pitch.

The lead went to 7-0 in the third inning.

Schug singled and courtesy runner Brooke Knipp scored when Kayla Higgins had an RBI double. Damron singled and Russell reached on an error for a run. Nicole Stamper singled in the third run.

The final three runs scored in the fourth.

Depriest walked, Harper singled and an error put runners at second and third. Schug hit a sacrifice fly and Damron hit an inside-the-park home run.

Duncan was 2-4 while Harper, Schug and Damron all went 2-3.

Rock Hill (10-6, 4-2) hosts Greenup County, Ky., Tuesday and visits Chesapeake on Wednesday.
