Lady Dragons hitting barrage leads to OVC win

COAL GROVE — The Fairland Lady Dragons didn’t just put on their hitting shoes, they had hitting uniforms.
Fairland banged out 23 hits en route to a 26-3 win over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Jaimie Phillips was 4-6 with three runs batted and Chloe Stanley was 3-5 with four RBI to lead the offense. Keri Pinkerman went 3-6, Sashe Burcham 3-6 and three RBI, and Stormie Spitzer and Chelsea Stanley were 3-3.
Chelsea Delong was 2-3with a double and two RBI for Coal Grove.
Fairland (8-8, 4-1) plays at South Gallia Thursday.
