SOUTH POINT — Linda Pennington, 67, of South Point, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Cabell County, W. Va. native was born Feb. 3, 1943, the daughter of the late Clifford Harold and Mary Bailey Roberts. She is survived by her husband, Donald Pennington, whom she married May 28, 1962.
Mrs. Pennington attended South Point School and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Roberts; and two grandsons, Dale Edward Hardin and Jonathon Pennington.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Patty Pennington and Mary Reffitt, both of South Point, and Rhonda and Dale Hardin of Ironton; four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Jr. and Mary Pennington of South Point, James and Lona Pennington of Pedro, Larry and Bridgett Pennington and Jason and Jamie Pennington all of Ironton; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Patty Roberts and Donald and Linda Roberts, all of South Point, Charles and Melanie Roberts of New London and Clifford “Pete” and Kelly Roberts of Bastrap, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Gene Runyon of South Point; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Jack Pemberton and Brother Sam Cooke officiating. Burial will follow in Millhouse-Pennington Cemetery.
