The Chesapeake American Legion Post 640 will be traveling around Lawrence County to pay tribute to past veterans. This has been a tradition for Post 640 since World War I.

They will give a 21-gun salute and play “Taps” at several cemeteries and landmarks.

Schedule:

8:30 a.m.- Burlington Cemetery

9:15 a.m.- South Point Cemetery

9:45 a.m.- Union Cemetery

10:15 a.m.- Gateway Cemetery

11:15 a.m.- Rome Cemetery

12 p.m.- Sixth Street Bridge Chesapeake

12:30 p.m.- Chesapeake City Hall
