St. Joseph High School is accepting applications for the position of girls’ head volleyball coach through Wednesday, June 9.

The Lady Hornets’ basketball camp will be held Wednesday through Friday, June 2-4, at the elementary school.

The camp is open to girls entering grades 2-8. Fee is $30 per camper and $25for each additional sibling.

uniforms for sale

The Ironton Middle School cheerleaders are selling cheerleading uniforms for $20 a set.

Hospice 8th benefit

tennis tournament

The 8th annual Community Hospice “Swing into Summer” benefit tennis tournament will be held Friday through Sunday, June 11-13, at the Ashland (Ky.) Tennis Center.

Registration will be open until noon Wednesday, June 9. Registration forms are available on-line at www.chospice.org. Entry fee is $20 per event per player with a three-event limit. All registrants receive a free T-shirt and awards will be presented to the winners and finalist in each event.

All proceeds benefit the programs and services of the Community Hospice.

All matches will be played at the Ashland Tennis Center. Friday’s matches begin at 5 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday play starts at 8 a.m.

A players’ cookout hosted by MTS will be held at noon on Saturday at the tennis center.

Golf scramble set

for June 26 at DLGC

Sharon Baptist Church will conduct a four-man golf scramble Saturday, June 26, at Diamond Links Golf Course.

A shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. Fee is $60 per person and course rule applies.

Cash prizes for first, second and third places and there will be free food.

The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers summer basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, June 7-10, at the Ironton Sports Center.

The camp is open to girls entering grades 3-9 in the fall of 2010. Camp fee is $20 and includes a T-shirt and a cold drink each day.

Applications are available at the Ironton City Schools, Bob Linn Sporting Goods or by going online at TigerTown.com and downloading a registration form.

Early registration will help ensure proper sizing for T-shirts.

The Ironton Fighting Tigers boys’ basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, June 14-17, at the Ironton Sports Center.

The camp is open to boys entering grades 3-9 in the fall of 2010. Camp fee is $20 and includes a T-shirt and a cold drink each day.

Guest speakers from college and high school level will be in attendance during the camp.

Applications are available at the Ironton City Schools, Bob Linn Sporting Goods or by going online at TigerTown.com and downloading a registration form.

Early registration will help ensure proper sizing for T-shirts.

Panthers’ youth camps June 2-4

The Chesapeake Panthers’ boys’ basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday through Friday, June 2-4, at the high school for boys entering grades 3-7 and from 1-3 p.m. for boys entering grades 8-9.

Camp fee is $30 each for the morning camp (grades 3-7) and $25 for the afternoon campe (grades 8-9). Checks should be made payable to Chesapeake Athletic Boosters.

Campers should bring completed registration form to the camp between 8-9 a.m. on June 2. Make sure proper T-shirt size is marked.

The camp will be conducted by Chesapeake head coach Ryan Davis and current staff and team players.

Campers will be placed in an age/grade appropriate group. Beverages will be provided each day during breaks.

South Point camps

set for June 7-10

The South Point Pointers’ boys and girls basketball camps will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, June 7-10, at the high school.

The camps are open for youths entering grades 2-8. Fee is $30 each and $20 for each additional family member. Make checks payable to South Point Athletic Boosters.

Early registration ends May 27.

Vikings cage camp

set for June 7-10

The Vikings’ basketball camp will be held June 7-10 at Symmes Valley High School.

The camp is for boys and girls entering grades 2-9 this fall. Camp is from 9 a.m. to noon daily.

Camp fee is $30 and $15 for each additional sibbling. Each camper receives a T-shirt. Campers should pre-register to ensure proper size. Late registrations will begin at 8:30 a.m. on June 7.

Prizes will be given daily for competitions. A pizza lunch will be held the final day of the camp.

Fairland youth

football camp set

The Fairland football and speed development camp will be held for area youths in grades 2-8 from 5:30-to-7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, July 21-23, at Jim Mayo Stadium.

Fee is $25 for one player, $40 for two, and $10 for each additional sibling.
