These underclassmen were over the top.

Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ softball players Nikki Elswick and Rebekkah Potter turned in impressive workouts Sunday at the University of Rio Grande and were selected to play in the annual All-Ohio Underclassmen All-Star Game.

Elswick, a first baseman, and Potter, a pitcher, will play in the All-Ohio games June 21-22 at Pickerington High School.

Elswick will be a senior next year and Potter a sophomore.

Also, Elswick is a member of the Southern Ohio Magic AAU 16-and-under softball team that has qualified for the national tournament. She will play at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex July 8-1 in Orlando, FL., at the AAU Junior Super Showcase Invitational.
