Upon returning to Ironton from my current home in Houston, Texas, I was greeted with a display of beautiful flowers in planters and hanging baskets throughout the town.

In response to my compliments, I learned this is an Ironton in Bloom project. In addition to the pleasure of visiting with family and friends, this colorful welcome made my trip.

When my husband David passed away, several friends joined me in donating to this project.

Now, having seen this colorful addition, I have decided that in the future, I will donate to memorialize loved ones instead of flowers for their graves, which tend to disappear.

Ironton’s floral displays are above and beyond any I have seen in my travels. Ironton should be proud of this project!
