CROWN CITY – Carol Kay Henry, 68, of Crown City, formerly of Ironton, went home to be with the Lord while at the Hospice of Huntington Center on June 22, 2010. The Lawrence County native was born July 2, 1941, the daughter of the late Earl and Rosie Collins Jenkins. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Ray Henry and a former employee of Bryant Health Center and Cabletron Systems.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Earl Jenkins, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Tivis Short of Crown City; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy and Tammy Henry of South Point and Toney Henry of Ironton; eight grandchildren: Toni Markins, Josh Henry, Heather Henry, Casey Henry, Randy Henry II, Cody Henry, Tyler Adkins and Emily Short; three great grandchildren, Logan Barcus, Olivia Wilson and Madisyn Permonper; four brothers, Ronnie Jenkins, Jerry Jenkins, Raymond Jenkins and Terry Jenkins; and three sisters, Connie Mullens, Penny Owens, and Judy Folgerson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Brother Jack Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery.
