PAULINE MAYNE

Pauline Mayne, 88, of Ironton, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula. The Leon, Ky., native was born Dec. 17, 1921, the daughter of the late William and Victoria “Doll” Walker Ison. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Todd Mayne, who died Feb. 16, 2004.
Mrs. Mayne attended school in Hitchens, Ky. She was a former beautician at Millie’s Beauty Shop and Terry Castle’s Beauty Shop. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Ironton and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She has lived the past five years in Ashtabula with her son.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Luther Ison; a sister, Margarete Ferris; and a grandson, Robert “Bobby” Holbrook.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Holbrook of Ashtabula and Robert Holbrook of Ashland, Ky.; a daughter, Paula Jean Holbrook of High Point, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
